AOL to pursue strategic partnership with telegate
Munich, March 8, 2006 – In order to start a new “local search” service AOL Germany has agreed to cooperate with telegate, the operator of the online telephone book 11880.com. The directory assistance company will provide AOL with current local data and additional information content. All users of AOL, Germany's leading provider of digital services, now have access to the extensive “local search” service. This means that local companies and services can be found simply and easily with AOL search.
Torsten Ahlers, Vice President Interactive Marketing at AOL Germany, sees the cooperation with telegate as a significant expansion of AOL's offerings: “Local search is increasingly important on the Internet. We can now offer our customers a tremendous additional service.
