Strategic partnership agreed
Munich, 26 August 2005 – The leading European DA service provider telegate and France’s second largest mobile phone carrier SFR have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. Before the liberalisation of the French DA market as of 2 November 2005, SFR will transfer its entire DA business to telegate. Within the scope of this agreement, telegate will take over SFR’s existing contracts with call center providers. The contractual parties have agreed to keep further details confidential.
In the course of deregulation of the marketplace, the French mobile phone carrier SFR has realigned its strategy for directory services and opted for a long-term cooperation with telegate. For telegate this partnership marks another important milestone in its market entry strategy for France, where today roughly half of all DA enquiries are generated in mobile networks. The agreement allows telegate to develop its business using high-quality call center expertise and infrastructure tried and tested by SFR. Both companies are planning to jointly market DA-services for SFR’s at present approximately 16 million customers and the development of new services. Thus telegate will strengthen its position long-term as a premium-partner for telecommunication providers across Europe.
